Tyler matriculated from Hoerskool Waterkloof with 5 distinctions. He served as deputy head boy and served as first team rugby captain. He is currently in his third year of Financial Sciences at the University of Pretoria. He is currently playing rugby for TUKS. He played for the under 21 Blue Bulls team during the 2024 Currie Cup season. He loves traveling, reading, spending time with friends and watching the latest Netflix show.
