Privacy Policy
We collect the information needed to respond to you, run our tutoring service and understand whether our advertising works. We never sell your information, and you can ask us what we hold about you.
Who we are and why we process information
Genius Premium Tuition provides one-on-one tutoring in Johannesburg, Cape Town and online. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we use it and how to reach us about it. We act as the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
We process information when you ask us to take steps toward providing a service, when it is needed for a contract or legal duty, and for our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating the service and measuring advertising. We ask for consent where the law requires it.
What we collect when you enquire
When you send us an enquiry through the form, by phone or by email, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, preferred branch, location, school, what you need help with and your message.
Your enquiry is delivered to our client-management system, where our Education Leaders use it to respond and, if you become a client, to administer your tutoring programme. Enquiries about work, school talks or general questions are routed to the appropriate team by email.
The enquiry form is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to submit the enquiry for you.
Website measurement and advertising
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement through Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors find and use this site and whether our advertising works. For South African traffic, this measurement operates on our legitimate-interest basis with a clear opt-out. Where prior consent is required, optional measurement stays off until the visitor accepts it.
If you arrive from an advert, Google can attach a click identifier to your visit. We keep supported click and campaign identifiers in your browser for up to 90 days and attach them to an enquiry so we can measure which advertising leads to genuine enquiries and later business outcomes.
For an adult or parent submitting the form, enhanced conversions may send a normalised and securely hashed version of the submitter's email address and phone number to Google for advertising measurement. We do not send the school, message or child details to Google. Advertising personalisation and conversion-based customer lists are not enabled for this use.
You can keep measurement on or turn optional tracking off using the Privacy choices control in the footer. We retain that browser preference for up to 180 days. Turning measurement off does not prevent you from making an enquiry.
Service providers and international processing
We use service providers including Cloudflare for website security and delivery, Zapier for controlled workflow routing, Google for analytics and advertising measurement, and Google Workspace for business email. Some processing may take place outside South Africa. We use provider terms, access controls and other appropriate safeguards, and we share only what the relevant service needs.
How long we keep information and your rights
We retain enquiry and client records while they are reasonably needed to respond, administer a client relationship, establish or defend a legal claim, or meet a statutory duty. An enquiry that does not become a client record is normally deleted or de-identified 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a legal or documented operational reason requires longer retention. Our Information Officer reviews old, unconverted enquiries at least annually.
The private form relay keeps privacy-safe delivery and duplicate-prevention state for 24 hours without retaining raw enquiry details in that state. Advertising click identifiers expire after 90 days, and the browser measurement preference expires after 180 days.
Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to particular processing, or ask us to delete it when no lawful reason requires continued retention.
