Charl matriculated from the German International School Cape Town where he represented the school in swimming, volleyball and as part of the Jazz Band. Charl matriculated with 6 distinctions and an 87% average. He is currently in his 2nd year at Stellenbosch University, busy with a degree in Data Engineering.
Charl also plays volleyball for Stellenbosch University and plays trumpet for the Matie Jazz Orchestra. He speaks three languages fluently: English, Afrikaans and German.
