Maelona matriculated from Redhill School where she achieved six distinctions. She obtained outstanding results in key subjects, including 93% for Mathematics and 92% for Information Technology, and graduated with a distinction.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Stellenbosch University and is currently pursuing her Honours in Human Genetics on the Tygerberg medical campus. Through her studies, she has developed strong analytical and problem solving skills, particularly in the sciences and mathematics.
Maelona is passionate about helping students build confidence and break down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps.
In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, practicing yoga, hiking, and cooking.
